Charles L. Sodikoff, Ph.D.

Charles Sodikoff has had over 25 years of experience in all phases of hiring and career development. Currently an independent career management and consultant, Charles' prior position was as senior vice president with Drake Beam Morin, Inc., one of the world's leading firms specializing in career transition and management consulting. During his ten years there he worked with more than a thousand executives and managers assisting them in defining their career direction and in conducting their job searches. In addition, he served as a coach to highly valued executives in a number of prominent corporations and trained human resources professionals and line managers in the art of selection interviewing.

In earlier jobs, Charles was a developer and trainer of systems using tests and questionnaires in hiring and career development. He was also the head of a selection and employee retention research program for Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, the second largest life insurance company in the United States. That program involved over 60,000 job candidates per year.

Charles earned his Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, his MA in Psychology from Long Island University, and his BA in Psychology from Brooklyn College. He has published articles in the areas of interviewing and employment testing and he has appeared on television and radio discussing career management and job search. He has been an adjunct professor of psychology and business at Long Island University and Hofstra University and is a past chapter president of the American Society for Training and Development.
